Accessibility Statement

We want mydoctorsf.com to be usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology.

My Doctor Medical Group is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the experience for everyone and apply the relevant accessibility standards.

Conformance status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

mydoctorsf.com substantially conforms to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Substantially conforms means most of the site meets the standard. This target aligns with the standard the U.S. Department of Justice references for the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as applied to websites.

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML with one main heading per page, a logical heading structure, and ARIA landmarks
  • A “Skip to main content” bypass link
  • Text alternatives (alt text) for all meaningful images
  • Color contrast meeting the 4.5:1 (normal text) and 3:1 (large text) minimums
  • A visible keyboard focus indicator on every interactive element
  • Responsive layouts that reflow without horizontal scrolling down to 320px width, equivalent to 400% zoom
  • Accessible form labels and error identification
  • Automated (axe-core) and manual accessibility testing in our workflow, including automated checks in our deployment pipeline

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) and common assistive technologies, including the VoiceOver and NVDA screen readers.

Known issues

We are not currently aware of outstanding WCAG 2.1 AA issues, and we test accessibility continuously. If you encounter a barrier we have not caught, the feedback options below are the fastest way to reach us.

This statement is based on a self-evaluation using automated testing (axe-core across all page templates) and manual review, covering keyboard operation, focus visibility, zoom and reflow, heading and landmark structure, and screen-reader semantics. A formal third-party audit can be arranged if a conformance attestation is required.
