Orion Harris, LMFT

Orion Harris completed his masters degree in Counseling Psychology at California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, CA. He also holds a bachelors degree in religious studies from UC Berkeley. He brings a broad set of experience and expertise to the integrated medical-behavioral program at My Doctor Medical Group. In addition to private practice psychotherapy, he has served in the Peace Corps in Turkmenistan teaching preventive health care, as a counselor in a residential treatment facility for children in San Francisco, and as a wilderness guide.

Orion weaves together mindfulness based cognitive behavioral techniques, humanistic-existential and depth approaches, tailored to each individual's needs and preferences, with the goal of helping clients bring forth their best self and live with a wider range of possibilities, vitality and freedom. His therapeutic toolbox includes trauma-informed somatic therapy techniques, expressive art therapy, and group therapy related to pain management, alcohol and substance use disorders, and mental health.
