Professional Substance Use Disorder Evaluations
Substance Abuse Evaluation is often mandated by the California Bar, the Medical Board of California, the Board of Registered Nursing, the Emergency Medical Services Authority, the Federal Aviation Administrations, hospital medical staff review committees, and other agencies. We perform professionally-mandated assessments utilizing a team of medical doctors board-certified in Addiction Medicine, psychotherapists specializing in substance abuse evaluation, and other professionals as needed. Our evaluation services are comprehensive, fair and timely. Our expertise can help guide you through the process.
When a licensed or certified professional has a run-in with the law about the use of drugs or alcohol, or is reviewed for other reasons by his or her professional board, hospital, or regulatory agency, a substance abuse evaluation by a board-certified Addictionologist or doctor-grief Addiction Medicine specialist is often mandated.
This can be a scary proposition. And in fact it is critical to have this evaluation done by the most capable specialist. In the wrong hands, your case can easily spiral out of control leading to unnecessary expenses and potentially loss of licensure.

Fast mobilization on short notice
We can often mobilize an evaluation on short notice, and complete it quickly, while maintaining the highest standards of care.
Highest standard of professional ethics and confidentiality
We adhere to the highest standard of professional ethics and confidentiality. Dr. Abramson provides the initial assessment and often can complete the requirements himself. Additional multidisciplinary resources, such as psychotherapists and neuropsychologists, are brought in as needed, but we bring in only the resources that are required based on your unique situation. Thus you pay only for the time spent by professionals on your behalf, not for a large infrastructure that is of little use to you.
Demonstrated proficiency in review committee guidelines
We know what the review committees are looking for. Thus we word our evaluations to FAA DUI Rules to avoid confusion and need for unnecessary clarifications that waste your time and money. You really do want it done right, the first time.
Excellent track record
We have an excellent track record. While no results are guaranteed, and while our highest priorities are honesty and professionalism, we often get fair and favorable results for our patients, given the situation.

Understanding the New FAA DUI Policy:
